Goshen splits between a historic village centre and the larger properties spread around it. The village homes bring the usual older-house conditions: settled framing, small original bathrooms, and closets that were built for a much smaller wardrobe.
Outside the village, the work changes character. Larger homes mean larger primary bathrooms, which means wider glass spans and more enclosures where a stationary panel joins the door. Wide panels are where glass thickness genuinely matters — half-inch glass is stiffer across a long run, and on a wide opening that rigidity is worth the added cost in a way it usually isn't on a standard alcove.
We also see more walk-in closet work in Goshen than in the denser towns we serve, simply because there's more square footage to work with. Those jobs tend to involve drawer towers, angled shoe shelving and dedicated hanging zones rather than a single run of shelf and rod.
Often, yes. Half-inch glass is more rigid across long spans and feels more substantial. On a standard-width alcove, three-eighths is usually the right call and costs less.
