Middletown gives us two fairly different kinds of job. The subdivisions built over the last few decades come with predictable, square openings and — almost universally — wire shelving in every closet. A large portion of our Middletown closet work is replacing that wire with melamine systems, which hold substantially more and don't crease clothing.
The older village core is a different conversation. Those homes have the same challenges as the rest of the Hudson Valley's pre-war stock: irregular openings, tight bathrooms, and storage that was never planned for modern wardrobes.
Because Middletown covers a lot of ground with a large residential base, we also do more full-house work here — several closets in one visit rather than a single bathroom. That's usually the most cost-effective way to buy custom storage, since the measure and the trip are shared across the whole job.
Most people think so once they see the difference. Melamine holds roughly three to four times the storage of wire, doesn't mark clothing, and allows drawers, doors and shoe shelving that wire simply can't.
